Florida Blue
Tai Chi Classes at Florida Blue Sawgrass Mills Circle in Sunrise, FL
Classes - Mondays at 10:30 AM
Our class focuses on the principles of Tai Chi Chuan. Mr. Cravens uses Chen Tai Chi to teach Basics, which include how to stand, turn, shift weight, step correctly, breathe correctly, and use the stretch and relaxed body state that promotes improved circulation.
Class begins with Fang Song exercises that loosen all the body's joints. When one is loose, it promotes better circulation. Next, we practice basics followed by the Silk-Reeling movement. Tai Chi uses a spiral motion through the body while moving. Tai Chi moves as a whole-body unitary action. We also work on the Chen Tai Chi form and movement. When one gets a few movements memorized and comfortable, it is easier to focus on the major things like good alignment, etc. Florida Blue is presently offering these classes free at the present time for the community.
There are many Tai Chi benefits. A few of the main ones are: Improved Circulation, Better posture, improved balance, and stress relief. Give it a try at your convenience.
